Pursuing your passion is more than an Instagram quote.Â
It’s the act of exploring the things you love.
And developing your skills enough to make a difference in your life and others.Â
The Number 1 Mistake I See Aspiring Entrepreneurs Make
Â
THE PRACTICAL VS. THE PASSIONATEÂ
Let’s face it, there’s comfort in the familiar.Â
That’s why many of my clients (before working with me) confess to playing it safe.Â
They leave the job they hate to start consulting or freelancing in the same field, sector or niche…and guess what? They hate it!
WHY?
Because it wasn’t their passion.
Don’t build a business you hate. And the way to avoid making that mistake is to stop playing it safe.
Step outside your comfort zone and let the heart rule the head for a bit.
IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT?
… What would you do for work?
… How would you spend your time?
… Where would you live?
… How would you share your talents and gifts?
…What would your life be like?
Â
DARE TO DREAM
Play with ideas like a child in the sandpit.
Have fun, explore, test, experiment and enjoy the process.
Pay attention to the passions that bubble to the surface so you
can dive deeper into each one later.
In a nutshell... I’m passionate about helping aspiring entrepreneurs, like you.
Empowering you with the tools needed to go from feeling stuck and unfulfilled in your 9-5... to finding & pursuing your passion
& launching an online business ....
So you can make money doing what you love.
Oh, How Rude!Â
Where Are My Manners?
Let me tell you a little bit about me
I’m what you would call, an Anglo-Irish nomad.Â
Born in the UK to an English mum and Irish dad. I spent most of my life between the two countries with a brief pitstop for university in Scotland.
A former corporate girl turned entrepreneur, I quit my 9-5 city job in London, sold my flat and moved to France.
Today, I run a business I love from wherever I choose. Helping multi-passionate and aspirational entrepreneurs leave their day jobs and become their own bosses.
I encourage them to throw out the rulebook and turn their big dreams into a reality.
"Throw away the rulebook and create your own"
- Sandra Bellamy
When the family business failed…
Everything changed.
Dreams of doing something creative like... acting, singing or arts and crafts came to a screeching halt.
I felt the need to grow up fast and get a “proper job”.
I hot-footed it to Uni and 4 years later walked away with a Masters in English and History…
…Followed by a post-grad Masters in Learning, Training and Development.
Then the fun really started…
I got a job in… Wait for it...
Recruitment.
Yep, that’s right, recruitment.
The little girl inside me was like, “Huh, I didn’t sign up for this!”
Seriously, it was so far from the life I had dreamed of as a kid. Back when my sister, Liz, and I would write plays and makeup dance routines in our bedroom. Then, make our parents watch it over and over again… which they loved! *obviously*
When I look back at my years in my day job, I remember how stuck I felt…Â
Â
... Feeling trapped in the corporate cage. Bored and unfulfilled by the mundane and repetitive tasks. Unsettled in my job and unsure of what the future held.
As much as I wanted to get out of the rat race, I didn’t know how.Â
I didn’t have a mentor, teacher or guide who'd walked a similar path to lead the way.Â
But I knew I didn’t want to stay where I was…
…Planning my escape was underway.
I’m curious…Â
Â
How’s the people-pleasing… fitting in… conforming… and being good, working out for you?
I get it. Your head is full of questions…Â
What’s next? What will you do? How will you do it? Will it work out?Â
Stop!
Let your heart take over for a sec… Give yourself permission to…
Have fun.. take a chance... bet on yourself... change your life... put yourself first... do what you love…
BECAUSE life is too short to be good all the time!
