This is the final part of a 3-part series, where we’ve been exploring what you can do if you are not ready or don't believe it’s the right time to start your business and step into life as your own boss.

I know that it can be frustrating when you can't start that business you’ve been fantasising about just yet. But you need to look at it in another way. This ‘golden’ time allows you to play with your business ideas and test them before you consider monetising them.

So instead of bemoaning the fact that you ‘have’ to stay in your job for now, see it as a chance to make sure that when you do launch that business, it is a guaranteed success.

You can enjoy this time, with no pressure of creating a business or making sales. You can indulge in your ideas and passions and like Cinderella, try them on for size to see what will fit!

HOW TO BEGIN TESTING YOUR IDEAS

You have to start talking about them!  Share your ideas, thoughts and passions with people and see what resonates with them.

Talk about your ideas on social media
Choose a social media channel that you like and where you think people interested in your idea could be hanging out.

When you have selected one you feel comfortable with, then learn as much as you can about it. Get used to it and then start putting videos or posts on there on the topics of interest to you. Whatever works best for you.

When you have a bit of a following, ask questions, run surveys and generally try and get some engagement so you can see what people are interested in, related to the topics you are passionate about.

Set up a Content Channel
When you have narrowed down the topics you want to talk about and you know what people are really interested in, you can set up a content channel.

A content channel is a place where you can talk more about your ideas. That can either be, a podcast, a YouTube channel, or a blog.

Which one you go for depends on the job you have, what type of ideas you have, and what platform you feel most comfortable with.

When you have a content channel set up then you can start talking in more detail about what you love and see what sticks with people.

Make the most of the opportunity

Remember, this isn't about a business yet. Talk about what you love and find interesting about the idea or topic you’ve chosen. Simple as that.

Then when you are ready to create your business you will have a huge amount of knowledge about your potential customers and will have a group of followers that are ready and excited for you to launch your business.

Have fun with this, it is great to be able to share your knowledge, ideas and passions without any pressure. It also helps you build up the ‘know, like and trust’ that is so essential for people to want to buy from you.

You will be so appreciative of this time when you are in your business because
this is gold dust. Knowing your potential customers, knowing what people want, and all the knowledge and market data you can gather when you are not selling will make life so much easier for you as a business owner in the future.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS…

You don’t need to forget about your business boss dreams just because they are not possible to put into action now.

I've given you some ideas over the past three episodes of what you could start to do, but that is just scratching the surface.

Remember at the moment, you don't have to change anything, it’s all research, learning and preparation. Which can be done as fast or as slow as you like.

The actions you take right now will keep you in the game and on your way to creating a business and life you love.
